Luigi Vitale
I was born in Sicily, but for over twenty years I have chosen the Friuli Venezia Giulia as my place of choice. Award winning photojournalist specializes in portrait and documentary photography, I’m deeply interested in people and I portray them in their environment, because landscapes are shaped by human beings and reflect their character and values. With my photography, I aim to tell their stories and their desires.
Some of my last exhibitions and awards, “Tracce No Global tra Oriente e Nuovo Mondo” (Solo exhibition for the “Terzani Award” 2006, at the art gallery of the Regional Government Council of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Trieste, Italy); “Ilford Award 2011” for the best photographic exhibition during “triesteèfotografia” Photo Festival in Trieste, Italy.My artworks have been exposed at the Venezia Biennale 2011.
